The 'JAMES LEITHART' is a charismatic steel motor barge, built in 1957 for Associated Lead Manufacturers of Newcastle for the purpose of transporting cargo along The Tyne.

This substantial vessel spent most of her commercial life in the North East before transferring to private hands.  An extensive, documented, hull refurbishment was carried out at Tyne Dock in South Shields at considerable expense between 2011 and 2014, she was then resold and moved to her existing berth where she has been sympathetically and creatively converted to a beautiful floating home and work place.

The ongoing refurbishment has created a stunning yet practical houseboat. The upper deck is  dedicated to well planned living space, with lots of light and an incredible level of finish, the lower deck is currently utilised as a large workshop. A second cabin can be found below deck, there is also ample space to create additional living space if desired and the opportunity to re-purpose the workshop as a second social area.

Excellent opportunity to acquire a truly unique floating home. Offered with current Boat Safety Certificate, permission to enter the Norfolk Broads, the option (subject to agreement) to transfer existing commercial mooring, with a further prospect of two moorings on Norfolk Broads.

Price reduced to a highly competitive £99,950.00. Change of circumstances forces reluctant sale, vendor may consider part exchange.
