The Westerly Griffon was introduced as a replacement for the highly successful Centaur. They have sharper lines, better performance and more spacious accommodation, with the quality Westerly construction they have become a well proven cruiser. This particular example has been well maintained and regularly upgraded with a replacement Beta 14 diesel engine, new fuel tank, new running rigging and much more.

The accommodation offers up to five berths in two cabins.

V berth forward with stowage above and below. Opening hatch to foredeck.  Door to separate heads compartment to port with Jabsco sea toilet.  Hanging locker opposite. Two settee berths in saloon with port berth converting to a double berth and starboard having length extension via hatch into hanging locker. Stowage above and below berths. Fold away table. Galley aft to starboard with Calor Gas two burner gas cooker with oven and grill.  Stainless steel sink with cold pumped water supply, insulated cool box and 240V Outwell refrigerated cool box. Crockery stowage and cupboards above and below. Quarter berth aft to port. Teak and holly style cabin sole. Full interior lighting. Steps up to self draining cockpit with seating and lockers to port and starboard.

Construction

Built in 1979 by Westerly Yachts to a design by Ed Dubois. White GRP hull with blue stripes. Teak rubbing strake and toe rail. White GRP superstructure with painted non-slip to decks, cockpit seating and self draining cockpit with Tek-Deck. Twin keels. Tiller steering to transom hung rudder. Self draining gas locker.
