The Broom Ocean 38 is a comfortable, well planned motor cruiser with a spacious aft cabin, twin heads and a separate shower room.  This particular example has been in the same ownership from new, has been well maintained and regularly wintered ashore. Fitted with the more powerful 200hp diesels she is a capable cruiser that has been used for East Coast Cruising, on The Deben and The Norfolk Broads. Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to six berths in two double cabins and convertible dinette, with good headroom throughout.

Sliding door from cockpit leading down to spacious saloon with lots of natural light.  Curved upholstered seating area to starboard with storage lockers beneath and teak coffee table. Range of fitted cabinets to port providing lots of storage. Steps and sliding door to port deck. Steps leading down and forward to galley/dinette area. Galley to starboard side with full range of units, above, behind and below affording plenty of stowage. Formica work surfaces, Stainless steel sink and drainer with H&C mixer tap, storage locker with hinged lid, Engel refrigerator. Eno three burner gas hob. Full size Stoves Vanette GG 7000 oven and grill. Teak and Holly finish to galley floor. Large dinette area opposite to port with storage lockers beneath, central table and infill cushion creating double berth. Glass display cabinet. Two opening portlights. Ventilation hatch.

Day heads to starboard side with Jabsco marine toilet to holding tank, moulded vanity unit with H&C mixer tap, cabinet and mirror above. Shaver point. Opening window.

Guest cabin forward, V Berth with storage beneath. Hanging locker to port side  Escape hatch to foredeck. 

Owners cabin accessed via steps abaft saloon.  Large central double berth with storage beneath, Fitted hanging locker, storage cupboards, drawers and mirror to starboard side, Fitted hanging locker, cupboard drawer and mirror to port. Two large window/escape hatches aft, opening to bathing platform.  Heads to port with Jack and Jill Access, moulded vanity unit and sink with H&C mixer tap, Jabsco electric toilet 2020) to holding tank and cabinet.  Separate shower room to starboard side with Jack and Jill access, Moulded seat, Mira mixer shower, built in cabinet with shelf and sliding doors.

Teak laid cockpit area with U shaped seating and cushions, storage beneath.  Helm and Co pilots seat, access door to port side. Teak laid integral bathing platform with H&C deck shower.

Carpets and curtains, Eberspacher diesel fired warm air heating with outlets to all cabins, saloon, dinette/galley area and cockpit. Hot water via calorifier, immersion and Eberspacher D5W diesel fired hot water heater.

Mechanical Systems

Located midships. Twin Volvo Penta TAMD41P 200hp Turbocharged 6 cylinder diesel engines (Serviced 2020 with full service history). Fresh water cooled via heat exchangers. Flex mounts. Electric start. Built in 1997 By Broom Boats of Brundall, Norfolk to a design by Andrew Wolstonholme. White semi-displacement GRP hull with white GRP superstructure and integral bathing platform with moulded non-slip to forward and side decks Teak laid self draining cockpit and bathing platform. Self draining anchor and gas lockers. Wheel steering with emergency tiller.  Wintered ashore every other season.
